A selection of Fabrica & Colors documentaries, awarded at the major international film festivals, are now available online. Fabrica has reached an agreement with MUBI, the only global online VOD platform exclusively dedicated to watching and discussing critically acclaimed and award winning films, to give the possibility to the public to watch, at a minimun cost, a selection of its video productions until now available only in the festival circuit.

PUBLIC SCREENING OF FIRST DEATH EXPERIENCE

First Death Experience, one of Fabrica’s earliest short movies, will be screened during an event hosted by Fondazione Benetton and dedicated to the Italian journalist Ennio Remondino, who will launch his latest book titled “Niente di vero sul fronte occidentale”.
 
The event is part of a series of public conversations about human rights and will be the occasion to speak about the western history focusing on the relationship between war an politics.
 
First Death Experience is about Dado Bratovic (21) a comic-strip artist from Sarajevo. After the war, in 1996, he goes to get his ID card issued and finds out that he was reported dead just after the war started in 1992. Now he has to prove that he is alive...
 
Debut film by Fabrica resident Aida Begic and produced by Fabrica, the short movie competed to the Cannes Film Festival 2001 and got, among others, the Special Mention of the Jury at the Arcipelago Film Festival in 2001.

LIVE WINDOWS WORKSHOP AT ELISAVA

From Dec 19 to 22 Gabriele Riva, Visual Director of Benetton Live Windows, will deliver a workshop at Elisava, Escola Superior de Disseny i Engyneria in Barcelona.

On Dec 19 he will also deliver a lecture about this project. This is part of Elisava conference programme.

Benetton Live Windows is a project conceived and developed by Fabrica, Benetton’s research centre on communication.
The Benetton stores become intelligent places for a new language between people and place. Technology is the key to trigger new experiences in the retail space.
Fabrica invites prestigious universities and design schools from all over the world to join its network and get global visibility for the creativity of their students.
Their works are published on the Benetton Live Windows.

EL VIAJE, THE LATEST FABRICAMUSICA PROJECT

EL VIAJE is the latest musical composition from Fabrica,  Benetton Group’s communication research centre. It is the product of creative research by the young Columbian violinist Jhon William Castaño Montoya.
Fabrica, which from the start has been involved in experimentation, comparison, cultural growth and the free expression of every type of art, has supplied the young musician with fertile soil for the growth of his music, a voluptuous blend of South American traditions and typical cadences of the language of western music.
 
EL VIAJE. A meandering voyage of passion and reflection through soundscapes of hills and mountains, seas and mountain chains. But it is also perceptions of the state of mind of the world, expressed through harmonious guitar chords and energetic percussion rhythms, all accompanied by the vibrant voice of the violin.
 
EL VIAJE. Wandering down unknown roads, following an itinerary improvised on the spur of the moment, where Italian cities, seas, provinces and plains mingle with the Columbian jungle.  Stretches of land and air captured in musical forms, haunting soundscapes. Electronic beats buried in the ground and ancestral songs that fuse with city smoke.
A flight log, a broken compass whose needle always points to whatever direction you wish to go in, landscapes to listen to, discover and interpret, letting yourself be guided by the music.
