Thanks to an application developed for iPad, the elusive first issue of COLORS magazine is finally available again, for all those who have loved it or simply heard about it. Published in 1991 under the guidance of Tibor Kalman and Oliviero Toscani, COLORS #1 made publishing history, because it marked the beginning of an adventure along a frontier between reportage-style journalism and revolutionary graphics, introducing a new way of communicating via magazine with big pictures, less text, unusual topics and irreverent style. A mix that is still loved and admired by art editors, designers, and others in the sector, and by anyone looking for a fresh look at the world. This is the first in a series of issues and other Colors projects to be made available for iPad over the coming months.
Colors #1 on iPad - available now in the App Store.
Fabrica is proud to support WHO - Stop TB Partnership and his Goodwill Ambassador Against Tuberculosis, the British R&B star Craig David, with the production of this clip - the second in a series shot in South Africa during Craig David’s first country visit as a Goodwill Ambassador Against Tuberculosis. Craig David talks to children about the effects of tuberculosis on young people, particularly the stigma they may face among their peers. He urges them to recognize the symptoms of tuberculosis and ask for help from a parent or teacher if they think they might be infected, reminding them that tuberculosis can be cured.
From June 8 to June 11 Fabrica is hosting a workshop held by the world renowned French designer Mathieu Lehanneur.
The title of the workshop is The 7 first days and the 7 last days of your life. What this workshop focuses on is our ability to question ourselves about the symbolic and fundamental objects that link us to the world of things: the very first objects and the very last ones.
Nina Due, Head of Exhibitions at the London Design Museum, will be attending the final presentation to write a critical essay inspired by the results of the workshop.
On June 7 at 9 pm Italian singer-songwriter Morgan interprets Dante at Fabrica. This inventive blend of contemporary culture and immortal poetry helps us understand the present and celebrates the release of a new edition of Dante's Inferno, published by Mondadori, illustrated and commentated by Benetton's creative laboratory.
Free entrance, starting from 8 pm.

I AM JESUS
by Valerie Gudenus and Heloisa Sartorato
A farming commune in Siberia; rebellious squatters in England; YouTube celebrities in Brazil. These parallel worlds rotate around three different figures with one thing in common: their claim to be Jesus Christ. By following these religious leaders and the daily lives of their disciples, ‘I Am Jesus’ looks at our need for a spiritual guide in the search for answers to the human condition.
